Careers and employability

The Careers team provides comprehensive support to students and graduates, assisting them in exploring career options, developing essential skills, and navigating job application stages.

The university has several well-established schemes providing students with placements and industry work experience, with partners including Wolverhampton Wanderers, West Bromwich Albion, and Walsall football clubs; city centre music venue, University of Wolverhampton at The Halls; as well as subject-specific partnerships such as careers advice and mentoring for law students from DWF LLP, or a range of opportunities to gain experience with Morgan motor cars for engineering students.

The Enterprise team at Wolverhampton offers support to students and graduates in developing entrepreneurial skills and setting up their own business. They provide resources like a dedicated co-working space, business registration, workshops, competitions, and networking opportunities.

Sports

Studying at the University of Wolverhampton gives you access to a student experience rich in sporting potential, the multi-sports halls allow several sports including:

  • Badminton
  • 5-a-side football
  • Netball
  • Basketball
  • Volleyball

WLV Sport also enables students to play competitive sport whilst studying at University of Wolverhampton. They enter teams across a range of sports including basketball, netball, judo, badminton, futsal, football and touch rugby and in the national BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sport) competition programme.

This is a chance to represent student life by creating fun and inspiring content. From ‘Day in the Life’ vlogs to ‘Study With Me’ videos, you’ll showcase your experiences, inspire other students, and gain real content creation experience for your CV, all while having fun and connecting with fellow international students.
