International Year One
This programme is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree.
As part of the International Year One, you will study in university-style classes and learn with a combination of classroom teaching, small group tuition and personal tutorial sessions with lecture-style classes and you will progress to Year Two of your undergraduate degree.
This programme is designed to significantly improve your academic language skills, including critical thinking and academic writing, whilst allowing you the additional classroom support you need from our qualified teachers.

- Academic and Professional Communication for Business
- Analytical Skills for Business
- Methods for Market Research
Upon successful completion of the International Year One, you may progress to one of the following programmes:

- Systems Architecture and Operating Systems
Upon successful completion of the International Year One, you may progress to one of the following programmes:

- Mathematics for Scientists
- Engineering Mechanics and Design Principles
- Introduction to Engineering Materials and Computational Tools
Upon successful completion of the International Year One, you may progress to one of the following programmes:
You will study the following modules:
- English for Technical Communication
- Research Methods in Health and Social Sciences
- Health and Society
One of the following modules related to your chosen progression degree:
- Introduction to Public Health
- Introduction to Health and Social Care
- Introduction to Psychology
Upon successful completion of the International Year One, you may progress to one of the following programmes:

Minimum English language level:
Academic IELTS 5.5 overall (and no component below 5.5) or equivalent
Academic entry requirements:
- Completion of 3 x A Levels (or equivalent) or to have completed a recognised foundation programme or first year of an overseas degree with good grades (or equivalent).
- Each application will be considered individually and assessed on their ability to succeed on the International Year One programme.
Minimum age requirement:
17 years of age. All students must turn 18 years of age by 31 December 2025.
